With Easy access from Junction 6 on the M40.  Our training utilises the available steep ground and woodland for scenarios.

Contact us for non members.  Instructors are outdoor professionals, with mountain rescue experience and current pre-hospital practitioners.

Outdoor Pursuits 16 Hour First Aid to meet the requirements laid down by National Governing Body awards, and is aligned with the Institute of Outdoor Learning.  
 
It covers primary and secondary care and adapted to the outdoor environment where the emergency services may be harder to access. 
 
Successful Learners can progress to FREC 3

Beyond First Aid (FREC 3) 

The leading qualification for prehospital care, the Qualsafe First Response Emergency Care (Level 3 RQF) covers the full range of skills required by Governing Bodies for first aid, and more for when there is no immediate options for rescue! 
 
Successful Learners can progress to FREC 4 
 
Over 5 days, we will build on your existing knowledge from OFA training to fulfill the competencies set out in the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine framework as an Advanced Provider, gaining the knowledge and practical skills needed to deal with a range of prehospital emergency care situations in an austere environment. 
 
This course is aimed at outdoor professionals who want to be prepared with a high level of medical readiness to look after clients.

Emergency First Aid at Work plus Forestry (EFAW+F) 

The Emergency First Aid at Work + F Level 3 qualification is ideal for tree surgery businesses whose needs assessment identified they require an individual to act as an emergency first aider.  
 
This version of the EFAW course includes the extra subjects required by the Forestry Commission to include extra subjects covered include serious bleeds, crush injuries, Hypothermia and Lyme Disease.

Forest Schools First Aid 

Forest Schools First Aid is the 16 Hour First Aid course with the added Paediatric Elements to meet the requirements for Forest School providers and also National Governing Body awards, and is aligned with the Institute of Outdoor Learning, matching their Statement of Good Practice. 
 
It covers primary and secondary care and adapted to the outdoor environment. For teachers there is a 15% discount with your Blue Light Card.

Supporting Mental Health in Adventurous Settings 

This one day course provides a comprehensive understanding of mental health and equips leaders with the knowledge and skills to support group members facing mental health challenges during outdoor adventures. 
 
Through a series of modules, participants will delve into various aspects of mental health and mental illness, exploring their impact on human behaviour and the relationship between them and strategies for staying mentally well in difficult situations. 
 
Expedition-specific mental health concerns are addressed including pre-departure, stress areas during expeditions, comfort zones and the role of leaders in providing duty of care and support. 
 
Effective communication with individuals in crisis is also emphasized. 
 
Participants will explore the components of emotional intelligence, recognise changes in participants' behaviour, and gain an understanding of fixed and growth mindsets.
