PRIMARY CARE TRAINING
Mandatory training is a requirement for healthcare professionals and the CQC. We can offer a range of online training courses to meet these needs. We also offer key face to face training to ensure confidence and competence. We understand the constrictions of time in primary care and ensure we deliver our training to the audiences needs and prior knowledge. We can also embed anaphylaxis training within Basic Life Support (BLS) training saving cost and time.
During training for any clinicians, we will ensure participants are happy with the use of typical equipment found in practice emergency response bags or trolleys. Including Bag Valve Masks (BVM), oxygen and common airway adjuncts.
Our training comes with a Certified CPD statement in line with the General Dental Council guidelines and the UK Resuscitation Council standards for clinical practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals
This half day course covers basic life support skills and includes skills for adults, children, and infants. The course includes safety, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, AED and choking.
On courses with clinical staff, we also ensure they are confident with airway management, the use of a BVM, oxygen and suction.
This course complies with the latest 2015 ERC and UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines and is aimed at Healthcare Professionals with a duty to respond.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Dentists
This half day course covers Basic Life Support skills and includes skills for adults, children and infants for dentists and people working in dental practices.
The course includes safety, precautions, initial assessment, recovery position, CPR, compression only CPR, CPR handover, choking and basic oxygen use. This course complies with the latest ERC and UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines. Included on this course are the skills of Epilepsy, Asthma and Anaphylactic reactions.

Anaphylaxis for Healthcare Professionals
Healthcare Anaphylaxis is aimed at healthcare professionals who require a more advanced course in Anaphylaxis care. The two hour course covers all the same as our standard course with the addition of the special considerations that healthcare professionals face. The course is based on the recommendations for Anaphylaxis care as laid down by the UK Resuscitation Council.
The course covers the use of Epi-Pens, Jext and Emerade as well as recognition of signs, treatment, concerns and activating the EMS as well as care for the patient. The certificate is valid for one year. To renew complete the same course again. This can be embedded within BLS training.

Immediate Life Support (ILS)
This one day course is designed to meet the requirements of ILS courses laid down by UK Resus Council guidelines. Suitable for dentists.
The aim is to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management and safe defibrillation (manual and/or AED), enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until arrival of a cardiac arrest team and to participate as members of that team.
The course is run over one day and consists of lectures and practical sessions. Ratio of one instructor to six candidates.
